| The Hong Kong
Zigen Fund is
a non-profit
organization
formed in 1992.
The Fund's mission
is to support
education, primary
health care
and environmentally
sound technologies
in the impoverished
areas of China.
The Funds primary
program is to
support basic
education for
poverty-stricken
children. Scholarships
are provided
in more than
200 remote villages
in over ten
provinces. Most
recently, the
Fund is supporting
educational
programs for
urban migrant
workers. Silicosis
victims from
jewelry industry
are among their
major service
targets. They
provide scholarships
for the victims
children, protecting
them from being
deprived of
schooling due
to financial
difficulties.
